What you will do

• Oversee EMEA and APAC direct tax processes, ensuring strict compliance with filing deadlines and the tax calendar.
• Review corporate tax returns prepared by external advisors and conduct research to ensure filing accuracy.
• Prepare and review annual and quarterly worldwide U.S. GAAP tax provisions.
• Manage direct tax payments and serve as the primary contact for tax authorities.
• Monitor global and local Pillar II legislative developments and translate them into data and process requirements.
• Maintain transfer pricing policy and documentation in coordination with external advisors.

Requirements

• Location: Based in Barcelona, Spain
• 3+ years of global direct tax experience specifically across EMEA and APAC regions.
• English: Fluency required
• Deep understanding of direct tax, compliance issues, and related accounting processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Master's degree in Taxation.
• Proven experience working in a multinational environment and coordinating with international teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working within the Big Four.
• Knowledge of local country GAAP and US GAAP.
• Proficiency with tax technology and ERP systems such as NetSuite or Avalara.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
