What you will do

• Lead all accounting operations across multiple entities and geographies (EU and beyond), ensuring financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Consolidate financial statements across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with external tax advisors for VAT and corporate income tax filings.
• Oversee payroll accounting in coordination with HR and calculate default provisions for consumer lending portfolios.
• Implement automation for reconciliations and optimize the usage of NetSuite to improve scalability.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Operations, and Tech teams to communicate the financial implications of business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP and IFRS and core accounting principles.
• Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
• Location: Based in Barcelona, Spain.
