Business Development Director (Drug Discovery)

What you will do

• Drive revenue growth and identify new business opportunities within the Swiss and Italian markets.
• Lead account integration processes, managing proposal delivery and implementation.
• Acquire new customers from assigned geographies and prospects.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Project Management, and Technical teams to achieve strategic company goals.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure high satisfaction during the onboarding and implementation process.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in Chemistry; advanced degree is highly desired.
• Proven professional experience in the drug discovery industry (either in sales or scientific roles).
• Right to work in mainland Europe is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and passport for frequent travel across the region.
• Strong ability to translate market dynamics into business growth and successfully close deals.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience in the pharmaceutical, drug discovery, or fine chemicals industry.
• Experience as a discovery chemist with strong commercial acumen.
