TL;DR

Technical Sales Representative (Chemistry/Life Science): Selling core chemistry instruments and consumables for flash chromatography and peptide synthesis to pharma, biotech, and academia with an accent on business value demonstration and account growth. Focus on managing the Mid-Atlantic territory, conducting hands-on instrument demonstrations, and achieving sales targets.

Location: Must be based in the Greater Philadelphia area; territory covers the Mid-Atlantic region.

What you will do

  • Manage full sales responsibility for instruments including microwaves, flash purification, peptide synthesizers, and evaporators in the Mid-Atlantic territory.
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations of instruments and related products to prove business value and product differentiation.
  • Identify new customers and maintain existing accounts to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Ensure customers are effectively trained to realize maximum benefit from hirify.global products.
  • Manage lead qualification and document opportunity status using Salesforce.com.
  • Generate quotes and negotiate final pricing within authorized limits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and account management.
  • Must be based in the Greater Philadelphia area.
  • Ability to travel 3-5 days per week in the field with 2-5 overnights per month.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment with hirify.global or related workflow tools.
  • Experience selling scientific equipment.
  • Demonstrated success dealing with complex pricing for government and other granting agencies.
