What you will do

• Identify, track, and analyze emerging legislative and regulatory proposals globally to inform policy positions.
• Lead the development of global public policy positions based on legislative trends and technical expertise.
• Coordinate policy campaigns across different regions and integrate regional perspectives into company-wide initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams in safety systems, product, and industrial compute to translate technical data into policy insights.
• Manage teams, people, and organizational growth within the Global Affairs division.

Requirements

• Experience at the intersection of technology, policy, and politics, specifically focused on AI safety or industrial policy.
• Understanding of AI supply chains, datacenters, semiconductor export controls, trade policy, and sustainability.
• Proven track record of working on technology policy within government or private sector legal/policy teams.
• Ability to analyze draft regulatory text, develop strategic positions, and support negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills with experience briefing senior officials.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco, CA, or Washington, D.C.

Nice to have

• Experience driving external initiatives such as white papers or participation in industry coalitions.
• Knowledge of frontier risks including cyber, CBRN, and alignment issues.
• Experience with consumer safety issues, including algorithmic discrimination and fraud.
