TL;DR

Sr. National Account Sales Manager (Retail): Driving sales growth and business metrics for the Target account in the US with an accent on strategic account planning and omnichannel execution. Focus on optimizing trade spend, leveraging shopper insights to gain market share, and leading cross-functional alignment between brand and customer visions.

Location: Must be based in Minneapolis, MN (onsite with occasional travel to California).

Salary: $140,000 – $171,000 Yearly

What you will do

  • Develop and implement strategic omnichannel business plans to maximize profitability and achieve growth objectives for the Target account.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to align brand vision with customer goals and ensure strong retail execution.
  • Manage trade spend for promotional activations and leverage data and shopper insights to increase market share.
  • Conduct weekly buyer meetings and periodic business reviews to strategically manage sales trends.
  • Optimize planogram recommendations to grow space and secure feature placements.
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and marketing teams to build monthly forecasts and meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of related sales experience with mass accounts, CPG, toys, or entertainment.
  • Strong analytical skills to use data for business decisions and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and exert influence with external stakeholders and internal functional teams.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be based in Minneapolis, MN.

Nice to have

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Experience in Trade Marketing, category management, and site merchandising.
  • Prior experience selling toys or working directly with Target's reporting systems.
