What you will do

• Produce high-quality metadata for Data Platform assets in collaboration with data producers.
• Determine and document data classification types for tables and fields.
• Utilize the Atlan data cataloging tool to enrich and organize metadata.
• Document lineages, classifications, and privacy controls according to company and governmental standards.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to uncover and document metadata information.
• Manage data asset ownership and present data flow information to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis.
• 2+ years of experience in Data Governance, specifically including metadata management.
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of data architecture.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Data Catalog solutions, particularly Atlan.
• Experience with Snowflake architecture and AWS cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency with reporting software such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Sigma.
• Experience with healthcare or supply chain data and familiarity with HIPAA and GDPR.
