What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end month-end close cycle and produce monthly financial statements.
• Design and document the accounts payable process, including vendor onboarding and expense management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's first formal external audit.
• Establish accounting policies, revenue recognition standards, and internal control environments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations across cash, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Partner with Operations and Clinical leadership to assess the accounting implications of new contracts.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a public accounting foundation.
• Active CPA license or CPA-eligible with imminent licensure.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge under US GAAP.
• Must be based in the US, with a preference for Nashville or specific company hubs.
• Proven experience leading or supporting early-stage external audits.
• Builder’s mindset with the ability to design processes from scratch.

Nice to have

• Healthcare industry experience, specifically in value-based care or provider services.
• Expertise in QuickBooks.
• Experience implementing AP automation tools like Ramp or Brex.
• Exposure to revenue recognition for service contracts or risk-based arrangements.
