What you will do

  • Lead and control engineering projects from initial concept through final production.
  • Manage a balanced portfolio consisting of revolutionary product development (30%), iterative improvements (30%), and OEM/large end-user projects (40%).
  • Provide hands-on design leadership, technical direction, and problem-solving support to the engineering team.
  • Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, cost, quality, performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish clear work plans, priorities, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the design team.
  • Collaborate with President, Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure seamless product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of team management experience with proven success.
  • Strong design experience, including proficiency in SolidWorks and machine design.
  • Deep knowledge of machining and metal forming processes.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Epicor preferred.
