Salary: $172,000 - $203,000

What you will do

• Fabricate a wide range of physical models, from iterative volumetric shape studies to high-fidelity presentation prototypes.
• Bridge the gap between CAD models and physical objects using Rhino, Siemens NX, and Fusion 360.
• Operate and set up CNC machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, and manual machine tools.
• Explore and implement new materials, finishes, textures, and colors for physical prototypes.
• Serve as the studio's subject matter expert in making, inspiring the team and fostering a culture of craftsmanship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a prototype engineer, model maker, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD and CAM programming (specifically Rhino, Siemens NX, and Fusion 360).
• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines, laser cutters, and various 3D printing technologies.
• Deep expertise in building high-quality models from a wide variety of materials.
• Ability to work 100% on-site at the San Francisco location.
