What you will do

• Define and drive the UX vision across the product suite to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience.
• Build and mature a scalable design system from the ground up, establishing patterns and standards.
• Lead and grow a small UX team, providing coaching on craft, process, and impact.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed UX thinking early in the development lifecycle.
• Champion user research and data-informed design decisions across the organization.
• Lead UX delivery for high-priority, board-funded initiatives under executive accountability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of design experience with a craft-forward approach.
• Proven track record of building or significantly maturing a design system.
• Experience with enterprise or B2B SaaS products and complex, multi-module platforms.
• Technical ability to read code and understand infrastructure constraints to make smart design decisions.
• Player-coach mindset with strong cross-functional influence.
• Must be based in the USA

Nice to have

• Background in HCM, HR tech, payroll, or other complex regulated industries.
• Experience scaling a UX team from small to mid-size.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
