What you will do

• Analyze current-state financial operations to identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps.
• Design and implement automation solutions for reconciliations and reporting using Power Platform and RPA.
• Identify and evaluate practical AI/GenAI use cases for document analysis, workflow triage, and anomaly detection.
• Support audit readiness initiatives, including corrective action plans (CAPs) and internal controls.
• Provide advisory support and briefings to senior stakeholders on financial modernization strategies.
• Develop SOPs and training materials to support change management and user adoption.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• Must be local to the Washington, D.C. metro area.
• 8+ years of experience in federal financial management (DoW or civilian agency support).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems.
• Experience with data analytics and automation platforms such as Power BI, Power Automate, or SQL.
• Proven ability to translate functional financial needs into technology-enabled solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as GFEBS, DAI, or LMP.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Tableau, or RPA tools like UiPath and Automation Anywhere.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CDFM, CGFM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of A-123 internal controls and FIAR audit readiness.
