Staff Software Engineer, Core Platform

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $205,000–$245,000 USD per year, depending on geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Provide technical direction for backend products, projects, and features involving data ingestion, processing, routing, and APIs.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Translate feature specifications into product designs and production-ready code with engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, high-quality software.
• Create test plans and comprehensive automated tests to validate product features.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal and external technical content.

Requirements

• Experience building products that leverage large-scale data sets using Node, TypeScript, and React.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience using and developing REST APIs and services for cloud-based platforms.
• Ability to learn new technologies and develop prototypes quickly.
• Experience with Agile processes, rapid iterative development, and high-quality delivery.
• Ability to comply with U.S. government security requirements for access to FedRAMP-authorized systems, which may include U.S. citizenship.
