What you will do

  • Negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims.
  • Interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
  • Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients.
  • Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims and provide strategy to protect client interests.
  • Establish and maintain reserves and payments while maintaining a 100% pending and closing ratio.
  • Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience handling general liability claims.
  • Adjuster license required (NY license preferred or willingness to obtain additional licenses).
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Strong analytical skills to determine, evaluate, investigate, and resolve claims.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
