What you will do

• Review complex, high-risk insurance applications and evaluate risks against established guidelines to determine eligibility.
• Independently conduct broker meetings and visit brokers to actively build and manage relationships.
• Determine appropriate premiums, limits, and coverages to accept, reject, or mitigate risk.
• Maintain detailed underwriting files, including comprehensive risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Utilize multiple databases and specialized software to verify supplementary data and ensure accurate policy pricing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3-5 years of underwriting or related insurance experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to independently evaluate risk and make appropriate determinations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software.
