TL;DR

Senior Knowledge Manager (Fintech): Building and maintaining a centralized, authoritative knowledge corpus for humans and AI systems with an accent on knowledge architecture and data stewardship. Focus on designing taxonomies, improving retrieval for LLM-based tools, and establishing a culture of compounding learning.

Location: Hybrid (London, UK). Minimum 2-3 days per week in-office depending on level.

What you will do

• Develop and implement a written Knowledge Strategy explicitly addressing knowledge management in an AI-enabled environment.
• Distinguish authoritative knowledge from working documentation and enforce publishing standards using LLM-based tools.
• Actively maintain the knowledge corpus through review cycles, decommissioning stale content, and managing lineage.
• Map critical domains and lead a federated network of domain experts to fill knowledge gaps.
• Establish structured learning patterns for major projects, retrospectives, and business reviews to ensure reusable learning.
• Specify requirements for how organizational knowledge is indexed, retrieved, and served into internal AI tools.

Requirements

• Track record of improving knowledge organization and maintenance in mid-to-large organizations.
• Strong writing and structuring skills, including the ability to design usable taxonomies and indexes.
• Understanding of data governance concepts (ownership, classification, retention) in regulated markets.
• Practical understanding of how modern AI tools consume knowledge (retrieval, metadata, permissions).
• Proficiency with wikis, documentation systems, and knowledge bases.
• Ability to influence without formal authority and a strong bias to action.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Background in library/information science, technical writing, knowledge engineering, or data governance.
• Experience operating a federated model with distributed experts and maintainers.
• Exposure to API-led businesses.
• Experience with the transition to AI-assisted retrieval from a knowledge perspective.
