M365 Engineer (Microsoft 365)

What you will do

• Engineer and support core M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
• Manage and improve tenant configuration, policies, and standards to establish a modern baseline.
• Strengthen identity and security controls, specifically Conditional Access and MFA.
• Automate administration and reporting tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Troubleshoot complex cross-service issues and support 2nd/3rd line incidents.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and architecture teams to contribute to technical designs and roadmap delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Entra ID.
• Solid understanding of identity, access, and security concepts (MFA and Conditional Access).
• Proficiency in PowerShell for automating technical tasks.
• Must be based in the UK with ability for occasional travel to London, Peterborough, and internationally.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, Administrator Expert, or SC-300.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview for compliance, retention, and eDiscovery.
• Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate and basic Power Apps).
• Knowledge of hybrid environments via Entra Connect and Microsoft Defender security tooling.
