What you will do

• Manage a caseload of Household and Commercial Property recovery files, typically up to a value of £25K.
• Perform initial reviews to assess funding, prospects of recovery, and triage claims.
• Conduct investigations, establish causes of action, and perform legal research.
• Draft legal documentation, including letters of claim, claim forms, and particulars to commence proceedings.
• Instruct counsel and experts, and attend conferences and trials.
• Engage in settlement negotiations, including the drafting of Part 36 offers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Defendant or Claimant litigation firm.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage competing demands.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in working with case management systems.
• Personal skills to handle major and expensive litigation and liaise with senior claims handlers.
