What you will do

• Drive the execution of end-to-end U.S. and Canada payroll processing for a multi-state and multinational workforce.
• Own the payroll-to-General Ledger (GL) mapping process and perform monthly reconciliations of taxes, benefits, and 401(k) contributions.
• Partner with the Finance team to manage payroll accruals, reclassifications, and journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Act as the lead for all state agency registrations, notices, and audits to ensure multi-jurisdictional compliance.
• Process and oversee payroll implications related to RSUs, stock option exercises, and equity vesting.
• Establish and maintain best-in-class internal controls and SOPs to ensure 100% data integrity and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in U.S. payroll with a focus on accounting and multi-state compliance.
• Extensive hands-on experience with payroll enterprise platforms such as ADP Workforce Now or TriNet.
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite, including payroll-to-GL reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Deep understanding of journal entries, labor allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Must be based in the New York Metro Area.
