Location: Must be located in the New York Metro Area and work from the NYC office at least three days a week
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000

What you will do
- Drive the execution of end-to-end U.S. and Canada payroll processing for a multi-state and multinational workforce.
- Own the payroll-to-General Ledger (GL) mapping process and perform monthly reconciliations of taxes, benefits, and 401(k) contributions.
- Partner with the Finance team to manage payroll accruals, reclassifications, and journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
- Act as the lead for all state agency registrations, notices, and audits to ensure multi-jurisdictional compliance.
- Process and oversee payroll implications related to RSUs, stock option exercises, and equity vesting.
- Establish and maintain best-in-class internal controls and SOPs to ensure 100% data integrity and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in U.S. payroll with a focus on accounting and multi-state compliance.
- Extensive hands-on experience with payroll enterprise platforms such as ADP Workforce Now or TriNet.
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite, including payroll-to-GL reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of journal entries, labor allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Must be based in the New York Metro Area.
