What you will do
- Run the full month-end close process for US & Canadian entities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing via Rippling, including benefits and multi-state withholding.
- Own multi-state sales tax compliance and act as the primary contact for corporate income tax returns.
- Lead the US side of the annual audit, preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Apply ASC 606 to SaaS revenue streams and document accounting positions.
- Propose and implement AI tools and automation to make accounting operations leaner and more reliable.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a significant portion in industry.
- SaaS industry experience is essential (subscription revenue, ARR/MRR mechanics).
- CPA qualification strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and US multi-state sales tax compliance.
- Hands-on experience with modern finance stacks (e.g., NetSuite, Rippling, Brex, Tipalti).
- Must be based on the US East Coast.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting a US subsidiary of a foreign parent.
- Familiarity with UK GAAP or IFRS reporting requirements.
- Track record of implementing AI or automation in a finance setting.
- Experience with ERP migration or finance systems implementation.
