What you will do

• Run the full month-end close process for US & Canadian entities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing via Rippling, including benefits and multi-state withholding.
• Own multi-state sales tax compliance and act as the primary contact for corporate income tax returns.
• Lead the US side of the annual audit, preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Apply ASC 606 to SaaS revenue streams and document accounting positions.
• Propose and implement AI tools and automation to make accounting operations leaner and more reliable.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a significant portion in industry.
• SaaS industry experience is essential (subscription revenue, ARR/MRR mechanics).
• CPA qualification strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and US multi-state sales tax compliance.
• Hands-on experience with modern finance stacks (e.g., NetSuite, Rippling, Brex, Tipalti).
• Must be based on the US East Coast.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a US subsidiary of a foreign parent.
• Familiarity with UK GAAP or IFRS reporting requirements.
• Track record of implementing AI or automation in a finance setting.
• Experience with ERP migration or finance systems implementation.
