What you will do

• Lead a team of experts in Rust, storage technology, and distributed systems to drive continuous delivery.
• Manage the development and rollout of storage services hosting millions of customer databases across dozens of regions.
• Collaborate with peer engineering teams across the organization to co-evolve Lakebase services with global infrastructure.
• Ensure 24/7 operational excellence and system reliability.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor engineers, focusing on developing future engineering leaders.
• Partner with product leadership to define and execute a long-term roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping high-performance storage systems where correctness is essential.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience building and leading engineering teams in a related domain.
• Proficiency with infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker, or Bazel.
• Ability to attract, hire, and coach top-tier senior talent.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and understanding customer personas.
