Associate Revenue Accountant

TL;DR

Associate Revenue Accountant (Finance): Supporting the revenue accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in compliance with ASC 606 with an accent on revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounts. What you will do

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes for revenue and deferred revenue accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for revenue transactions.
• Analyze revenue contracts to ensure proper recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to understand contract terms impacting revenue.
• Support the preparation of schedules and analyses for internal and external auditors.
• Assist in the development and improvement of revenue accounting processes and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably focused on revenue recognition.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
