TL;DR

What you will do

  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes for revenue and deferred revenue accounts.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for revenue transactions.
  • Analyze revenue contracts to ensure proper recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to understand contract terms impacting revenue.
  • Support the preparation of schedules and analyses for internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of revenue accounting processes and controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably focused on revenue recognition.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
