What you will do

• Own month-end close processes for music royalty accounting and interact with external auditors.
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries and related balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Analyze monthly financial results and report variances to upper management and business partners.
• Develop and document SOX-compliant internal controls to ensure data integrity.
• Continually improve business processes through automation and industry research.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Supply Chain departments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Active CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Coupa, or BlackLine.
• Must be based in New York, NY to support the hybrid work model.
• Experience supervising staff for 1+ years strongly preferred.
