What you will do

• Perform accounting transactions including posting of AP and AR.
• Reconcile bank accounts and store deposits to the agency management system.
• Process payments to insurance carriers for policy premiums.
• Scan supporting documents and post vendor invoices into accounting software.
• Assist in month-end closing duties and year-end reporting.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and perform routine data entry tasks.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• 1 year of accounting experience or an Associate Degree.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet weekly deadlines and work independently.
• Commitment to maintaining confidential accounting information.

Nice to have

• Insurance accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Working knowledge of AMS360, Appone, and Acumatica.
