What you will do
- Lead four engineering value streams, including Banking Core Integration, Business Banking, Vendor Integration, and Account Acquisition, owning delivery and technical excellence.
- Design and implement an organization-wide quality engineering framework, setting standards for unit, integration, and automated regression testing.
- Manage and develop engineering managers, tech leads, and a Principal Engineer, fostering a high-performing organization.
- Own a modern multi-platform automation framework covering Angular, Swift, and Kotlin.
- Partner with Release Management to implement structured release gates and formal go/no-go decision processes.
- Champion the adoption of AI-assisted coding tools and integrate AI productivity into engineering performance criteria.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 4 years in leadership managing other managers and senior individual contributors.
- Deep background in quality engineering with a track record of personally building or rebuilding automation frameworks.
- Proven experience migrating automation frameworks in multi-platform environments (Web, iOS, and Android).
- Demonstrated success driving a shift from manual-heavy to automation-first QA in fintech or similarly regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with modern automation tooling such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or Maestro.
- Must be based in Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience in core banking or digital banking platforms.
- Familiarity with credit union or community bank client environments.
- Knowledge of SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS, or similar regulatory compliance contexts.
