Senior Software Development Engineer (C/C++)

hirify.global Web Services provides cloud infrastructure and platform services, including AWS Database Migration Service for moving enterprise database workloads to AWS.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of complex features in the C/C++ replication engine and Java next-generation migration service.
• Set technical strategy for database endpoints including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Investigate and resolve crashes, memory corruption, data validation failures, and other systemic quality issues.
• Deliver security remediations, improve dependency management, and protect customer credentials.
• Expand automated and combinatorial test coverage across heterogeneous migration paths.
• Mentor engineers, influence architecture and release quality, and participate in on-call and production incident response.

Requirements

• Professional programming experience with Java, C++, C#, or another modern object-oriented language.
• Experience leading architecture and design for reliable, scalable systems or recent software development experience.
• Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
• Experience building production software and working with distributed systems and systems architecture.
• Experience debugging and profiling large-scale systems and applying software engineering best practices.
• Preferred experience includes database replication, security vulnerability remediation, automated testing, memory-safety tooling, large-scale operations, and deployment pipelines.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with CDC, logical replication, LogMiner, fn_dblog, or pgoutput.
• Experience with AddressSanitizer, ThreadSanitizer, or Helgrind.
