What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of complex features in the C/C++ replication engine and the next-generation Java service.
• Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions for database endpoints including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve systemic quality issues such as memory corruption and task crashes.
• Deliver security remediations, vulnerability fixes, and secure dependency management within SLA.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and technical pairing.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered engineering practices for autonomous bug detection and automated test generation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java, C++, or C# with strong object-oriented design skills.
• Experience leading the architecture and design of scalable and reliable systems.
• Proven track record as a mentor or tech lead for engineering teams.
• Experience building production software and a deep understanding of distributed systems.
• Expertise in debugging and profiling large-scale systems.
• Must be based in Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) and logical replication technologies.
• Familiarity with memory safety tooling like AddressSanitizer, ThreadSanitizer, or Helgrind.
• Experience operating multi-region deployments and large customer fleets at scale.
