Senior Software Engineer (Java & AWS)

What you will do

• Build, test, and ship modern web applications with Product and Design teams.
• Define end-to-end solutions and identify improvements to existing systems and architectures.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical design discussions.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize speed and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Contribute to UI/UX, development process improvements, and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience developing customer-facing web applications, including 4+ years with Java and Spring or similar J2EE frameworks.
• Fluent coding skills in Java and Spring Boot, with strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience designing scalable data models and writing complex relational database queries using SQL.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS, and development of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and deployment scripts.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, plus strong communication and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Frontend experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
