IT Product Specialist I (Network Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Audit telecommunications and IP network planning and design submissions for accuracy, formatting, and data compliance.
• Analyze circuit and clearance impacts, prepare physical and logical circuits for system updates, and communicate resolutions to engineering leads.
• Maintain configuration item relationship views, asset dependencies, compliance reports, and network asset models in the Operations Support System.
• Assess network discovery and reconciliation results, troubleshoot configuration gaps, and preserve repository data integrity.
• Collaborate with network engineers, infrastructure architects, drafters, field technicians, and business teams on connection paths and live design issues.
• Support system health checks, maintenance, patch testing, tier-1 production support, documentation, and peer training.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical engineering technology, telecommunications technology, digital design drafting, computer science, or a related technical discipline; equivalent professional experience is considered.
• Active CompTIA Network+ certification is required.
• At least four years of experience supporting and administering enterprise software tools in a NOC or IT network and telecommunications operations environment.
• At least one year of hands-on experience with network discovery tracking or modeling data in an Operations Support System.
• Foundational knowledge of telecommunications and IP network technologies, including microwave transport, IP/Ethernet, SONET, or DWDM.
• Ability to interpret complex telecommunications drawings and physical splicing logs, with familiarity with ServiceNow, Windows and Linux platforms, ITIL configuration management, and network protocols such as SNMP, SSH, Telnet, SOAP, or SQL/JDBC.

Nice to have

• Experience in utility, energy, or NERC-regulated compliance environments.
