What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical gatekeeper for network planning and design submissions, auditing for accuracy and compliance.
• Build and maintain complex Configuration Item (CI) relationship views and asset dependencies within the OSS platform.
• Collaborate with network engineers and architects to verify hardware synchronization across integrated systems.
• Analyze circuit impacts and process post-clearance changes to ensure data repository integrity.
• Provide operational training and mentorship to junior engineers and digital design drafters.
• Resolve technical discrepancies and assist field technicians with real-time connection profile updates.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Active CompTIA Network+ certification is required.
• Minimum of four years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or IT Network & Telecom environment.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on experience with network discovery tracking or modeling data in an OSS.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical telecommunications drawings and splicing logs.
• Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems like ServiceNow and basic Windows/Linux server support.

Nice to have

• Understanding of ITIL configuration management processes.
• Exposure to network protocols including SNMP, SSH, Telnet, SOAP, or SQL/JDBC.
• Experience in regulated utility, energy, or NERC-compliant environments.
• Knowledge of Microwave transport, IP/Ethernet architectures, SONET, or DWDM ecosystems.
