What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain network products and services across satellite, microwave, core, TERRA, HFC, and Mobility platforms.
• Forecasting network demand bi-annually for the long-range plan and providing ad-hoc capacity checks.
• Automate and optimize network processes, workflows, and tools to increase efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal departments to right-size leased capacity and optimize operational costs.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and review design specifications for junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in network engineering.
• Practical experience with configuration, routing, and switches within a telecommunications environment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel throughout the state of Alaska.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Visio.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA, MEF CECP, SCTE DEP, CITA, or EACOE.
• Extensive experience within the telecommunications industry.
