What you will do

• Design mechanical parts and simple assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Update and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, and basic Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Develop fixtures, tooling, and jigs for assembly and testing.
• Coordinate part sourcing and communicate with suppliers.
• Assemble, inspect, and test vehicle components and subassemblies.
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams on electro-mechanical integration.

Requirements

• Completed 2–3 years of coursework towards a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks for part and assembly design.
• Ability to read and create basic mechanical drawings.
• Must be independently authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) per export control laws.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics clubs or competitions (e.g., Formula SAE).
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as 3D printing, CNC, or waterjet.
• Basic familiarity with GD&T.
• Exposure to electrical or software systems in a mechanical context.
