What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the design and validation of new hardware products.
• Develop prototypes and execute rigorous testing to drive designs toward mass production.
• Support 3D CAD design and create 2D technical documentation.
• Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing quality issues.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
• Currently pursuing or holding a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX preferred).
• Experience with various rapid prototyping methods.

Nice to have

• Experience with simulation tools (FEA and thermal).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) for high-volume production.
