Collections Specialist

Collections Specialist (Finance): Collecting funds and resolving payment discrepancies for distributors and customer accounts with an accent on account delinquency and billing resolution. Focus on maintaining accurate records and providing professional, timely customer service.

Location: Hybrid in Bannockburn, IL (4 days/week). Unable to offer sponsorship.

What you will do

• Contact accounts to collect past due invoices.
• Resolve issues and complaints concerning billing.
• Identify causes of account delinquency and coordinate resolution with the team lead.
• Provide friendly and timely customer service to account holders.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all contact attempts.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a collections or comparable role.
• High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Bannockburn, IL office 4x per week.
