What you will do

  • Oversee daily repair operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, including survey requests and scheduling.
  • Manage and supervise repair mechanics and apprentices, handling performance management and progressive discipline.
  • Lead the company safety program by conducting safety audits and fostering a safety-first culture among employees.
  • Collaborate with regional repair coordinators in weekly backlog meetings to update schedules and system data.
  • Monitor job status, efficiency, and billable reports using system tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree, two years of branch departmental management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write professional reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
