TL;DR

Level Artist (Gamedev): Creating and optimizing immersive game maps and environments for an unannounced AAA project in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED with an accent on terrain sculpting, biome establishment, and asset placement. Focus on iterating levels from white-boxing to shippable beauty passes and ensuring high performance in an open-world setting.

Location: Fully Remote (must be within +/- 2 hours of GMT+1 time zone)

Salary: 10,200 - 18,100 PLN gross

What you will do

• Create eye-catching game maps, locations, and biomes using foliage and architectural assets.
• Perform terrain sculpting and detail adjustment.
• Handle 3D modeling, texturing, and UV adjustments for assets.
• Optimize level performance and resolve Environment Art department bugs.
• Collaborate with Level Designers, Narrative Designers, and the Environment Art Lead.
• Iterate levels from white-box prototypes to final shippable beauty passes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of industry experience as a Level Artist.
• Proven experience in the full development cycle of a published AAA title.
• Expertise in open-world game development.
• Proficiency in PBR and asset optimization within and outside of game engines.
• Strong skills in World Creator and 3D packages (Blender preferred, 3DS MAX, Maya, or Zbrush).
• English: Fluent level required.
• Location: Must work within +/- 2 hours of GMT+1 time zone.

Nice to have

• Background in Classical Arts, Architecture, or Photography.
• Knowledge of medieval architectural history and Color Theory.
• Sketching skills.
