Location: Remote (US, Canada or ANZ preferred). Travel to Wellington, NZ is required, particularly in the first 6 months.

What you will do

• Define and execute the technical vision for the printIQ and Docket Manager platforms to ensure scalability and security.
• Drive platform modernization across infrastructure, APIs, performance, and security posture.
• Design a unified data architecture that serves analytics, BI, and AI as a strategic asset.
• Lead and develop a multi-geography engineering organization of approximately 20 developers across NZ, North America, and the UK.
• Serve as the CEO's primary technology co-strategist on business direction, product decisions, and market positioning.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to increase engineering throughput.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading an engineering organization through major platform transitions, such as replatforming or cloud migration.
• Experience shipping AI-embedded product capabilities with measurable customer outcomes.
• Expertise in owning SaaS security posture and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2).
• Ability to design data architectures that support AI and BI as a unified estate.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams, including hiring and developing technical leaders.
• Ability to travel to Wellington, New Zealand.
