What you will do

• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development across the organization to accelerate production software delivery.
• Own cloud-native architecture decisions and build modular, multi-tenant systems for the SaaS platform.
• Lead IT operations, release engineering, and incident response to ensure system uptime and integrity.
• Ensure proactive regulatory compliance including SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and GxP standards.
• Partner with product leadership on roadmap strategy, commercial contract negotiations, and technical due diligence.
• Manage a mixed organization of directors, managers, and senior individual contributors while overseeing the engineering budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in SVP-level or equivalent leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience leading mixed organizations including senior managers and staff/principal engineers.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred) and AI-assisted development tooling.
• Direct experience managing HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Familiarity with GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 in the life sciences or clinical trial industry.

• Experience with Steve Blank’s Customer Development methodology.
• Deep knowledge of clinical trial workflows and CRO purchasing processes.
• Experience managing offshore and distributed engineering teams.
