What you will do

• Own the roadmap and operating model for Platform Engineering, translating business goals into multi-quarter investments.
• Lead and coach a team of Software Development Managers across seven foundational teams.
• Define engineering standards for framework conventions, reliability targets, and CI/CD health.
• Drive the AI-native platform strategy, focusing on agent orchestration, tool registries, and developer environments.
• Own division-level reliability, including SLO definitions, incident response frameworks, and systemic prevention.
• Collaborate with the CTO and peer leaders on organizational design and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in engineering leadership.
• 2+ years of experience managing other managers across multiple teams.
• Technical depth in distributed systems, backend/mobile frameworks, platform engineering, or SRE.
• Proven track record of leading infrastructure teams at a growth-stage B2B SaaS company.
• Experience setting direction for teams building on LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Strong communication skills to represent platform complexity to executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience leading Quality Engineering, Testing Frameworks, or Developer Productivity functions.
• History of scaling developer platforms during rapid headcount growth (Series D+).
• Familiarity with CMMS, IoT, or industrial SaaS domains.
