Salary: €124,600–€231,500 (if based in Amsterdam)

What you will do
- Support and mentor engineering teams to achieve clear goals and high-quality outcomes.
- Partner with technical leaders to shape engineering strategy and platform direction.
- Monitor progress, address risks, and manage dependencies across complex projects.
- Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes, testing, and system reliability.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive team environment.
- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to balance immediate delivery with long-term sustainability.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK or Netherlands for hybrid work.
- Deep experience in software engineering and team leadership or mentorship.
- Strong knowledge of backend systems, distributed architectures, or cloud platforms.
- Ability to manage priorities in evolving technical environments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working in Agile or Kanban teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/LLM tools or modern backend frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting platforms used by multiple downstream consumer teams.
- Experience managing teams working on internal developer tools.
