Division Controller (Finance)

TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week) in Bannockburn, IL. No work sponsorship provided.

A provider of produce management solutions, procurement, and supply chain services for food service clients across North America.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team and foster a culture of accountability.
• Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency in reporting and working capital management.
• Partner with leadership to integrate newly acquired businesses into the division.
• Manage audit requests and support the overall consolidated audit process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Bannockburn, IL office.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, CMA, or CFA certification.
