What you will do

• Provide enterprise-wide technical accounting leadership and implement new accounting standards for complex transactions.
• Lead accounting for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, including due diligence and purchase accounting.
• Oversee general ledger activities and drive transformation of month-end and year-end close processes via automation.
• Establish and enhance accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, and IT leaders to improve data quality, financial systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting organization, focusing on succession planning and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Expertise in purchase accounting, fair value assessment, and impairment analysis.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial/ERP systems.
• Must be based in Charlotte, NC, USA.
