What you will do

  • Implement and maintain project Drug and Alcohol Substance Abuse Programs.
  • Develop and conduct employee safety and health training programs.
  • Perform detailed site inspections and conduct incident/injury investigations.
  • Manage project security contracts, programs, and policies.
  • Interface with clients and government officials regarding safety standards.
  • Supervise and provide performance management for safety specialists and interns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in safety and health.
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Beech Island, SC.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records search.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme weather or confined spaces.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree or professional safety and health certification.
  • 3+ years of experience specifically in a construction environment.
  • Knowledge of construction contracting strategies and contract administration.
  • Ability to perform first aid and medical functions.
