What you will do

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain HP boilers, steam turbines, valves, and distribution systems.
• Perform chemical analysis on boiler water samples and regenerate cold-water zeolites.
• Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance on pumps, turbines, and piping.
• Maintain detailed operational logs and prepare work permits and orders for equipment failures.
• Execute Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and ensure plant cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Grand Rapids, MI.
• Licensing: Must possess or obtain a Boiler Operator License within six months of hire.
• Experience in pipe fitting and steam plant maintenance (boilers, turbines, pumps).
• Previous experience working in a boiler or power plant environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass physical and drug screenings.

Nice to have

• Technical trade school training.
• Experience with control room operator programs and systems training.
