Quality Engineer (Automotive)

Quality Engineer (Automotive): Serving as a technical liaison between production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve internal and customer-driven quality issues with an accent on manufacturing floor operations. Salary: $86,900 - $114,700 USD Annual

What you will do

• Act as a technical liaison between production operations, engineering, and suppliers to solve quality problems.
• Drive and lead the resolution for supplier, internal, and customer-driven quality issues.
• Audit the GM Quality Manual and GMS Built-In Quality Statements to ensure compliance.
• Review and approve Standardized Work and Plant Floor Change Management Requests for the assigned department.
• Manage the containment and resolution of identified non-conforming products.
• Support scrap reduction initiatives and evaluate the impact of PTR processes on product function.

Requirements

• 1+ years of related experience in manufacturing or engineering (internships and co-ops included).
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future (including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1).
• Ability to rotate through all three shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a Quality or Manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMS principles and practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across various organizational levels.
