What you will do

• Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data, focusing on availability, performance, and quality.
• Identify production losses related to downtime, inefficiencies, defects, and material flow.
• Conduct root cause analysis using Lean problem-solving methods like 5 Why, PDCA, and A3.
• Participate in Kaizen events and Lean improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Document current-state processes and develop standard work and visual controls.
• Utilize Excel and statistical tools to analyze manufacturing data and identify trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing and operations excellence.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on working with production data.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Based in or available to work in Manteno, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Internship or academic project experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Exposure to Six Sigma or Operations coursework.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, charts, and basic formulas).
• Interest in EVs, batteries, and advanced manufacturing.
