What you will do

• Assist in the development of municipal infrastructure projects from conceptual design to final construction documents.
• Perform technical research and design support under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
• Coordinate tasks, schedules, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
• Prepare construction drawings, reports, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
• Communicate with internal teams, subconsultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Must be based in Houston, TX.
• 2–6 years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
• Experience with municipal or public works infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of water, wastewater, drainage, and underground utility systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and project priorities.

Nice to have

• FE Exam completed and EIT certification.
• Experience supporting construction document preparation and administration.
• Familiarity with engineering design tools and civil infrastructure workflows.
• Interest in professional development toward PE licensure.
