What you will do

• Set the technical and modeling strategy for fraud detection to reduce fraud loss and improve approval rates.
• Lead a team of ML engineers through the full lifecycle, from experimentation and feature development to production monitoring.
• Drive the adoption of advanced modeling approaches, including representation learning and transformer-based methods.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Fraud Analytics, Risk, and Engineering to integrate models into decisioning systems.
• Coach and develop engineering talent, fostering a high-performing culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineers.
• Experience with modern ML (deep learning, transformers, representation learning) and traditional methods like gradient-boosted trees.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and experience with scalable systems and data pipelines.
• Must be based in Canada.
