TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Cloud Infrastructure): Managing legal, commercial, and compliance risks for a global cloud solutions provider with an accent on contract negotiation and corporate governance. Location: Remote (within United Kingdom) or Hybrid (3 days in Guildford office)

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 per annum

What you will do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including T&Cs, vendor, customer, and intra-group contracts.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle and develop contract templates and playbooks.
  • Advise on employment law matters, including hiring, terminations, and restructurings.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks regarding data privacy (GDPR), security, anti-bribery, and artificial intelligence.
  • Handle corporate governance for global entities, including statutory filings and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with external counsel for litigation, M&A, and corporate due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law (LL.B., LL.M. or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification legal experience in corporate and commercial law.
  • Proven expertise in US, UK, and EU legal frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and EU privacy laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Industry experience in hosting, cloud infrastructure, or technology companies.
  • Multi-jurisdictional exposure supporting companies worldwide.
  • Knowledge of DORA obligations and the AI Act.
  • Prior in-house legal experience.
