What you will do

• Lead large, complex forensic equipment loss investigations for industrial, commercial, and specialty equipment.
• Determine cause of loss, extent of damage, and the scope of repair or replacement.
• Conduct site inspections, field assessments, and review technical documentation and client records.
• Perform financial analysis to develop accurate damage estimates and restoration costs.
• Prepare defensible expert reports for insurers, third-party adjusters, attorneys, and corporations.
• Present expert opinions during client meetings, mediations, depositions, and legal proceedings.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years in forensic or equipment loss consulting with demonstrated inspection and report experience.
• Must be based in the Eastern US or the Chicago, IL area.
• Proven ability to author defensible expert reports independently.
• Ability to perform fieldwork in industrial settings and confined spaces.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally.
