TL;DR

Lead CAE Engineer (Manufacturing): Leading and managing COE simulation driven design and R&D activities with an accent on developing and implementing a simulation technology roadmap to close capability gaps and enable product innovation. Focus on integrating upfront simulation driven design space exploration process into the product development cycle.

Location: This position is eligible for hybrid schedule working out of our North Olmsted, OH or Maumee, OH offices with remote days on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead and manage COE simulation driven design and R&D activities.
  • Develop and implement a simulation technology roadmap to close capability gaps and enable product innovation.
  • Lead implementation of modal based systems engineering, digital twins, and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Support new product development team with DFMEA validation through Multiphysics simulations.
  • Integrate upfront simulation driven design space exploration process into the product development cycle.
  • Lead validation and correlation of the analytical models with test & field data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in CAE simulation & technology implementation.
  • Fluent in the use of 3-D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and PC’s.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Fluent, Ls-Dyna, optiSLang).
  • Experience integrating simulation with test correlation, design optimization, and manufacturing considerations.
  • Track record of driving simulation-led design decisions at the system and component levels.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin are beneficial but optional
