What you will do

• Process semi-monthly or bi-weekly payrolls for 650+ employees in Canada and the US using ADP.
• Manage payroll for multiple business entities, including calculations for wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Ensure strict compliance with provincial, federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations.
• Prepare and submit essential tax filings, including T4s, RL1, W2s, 1095-C, and 5500s.
• Resolve employee inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll systems and HRIS integrations (e.g., BambooHR).

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-entity, cross-border environment.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and US payroll legislation and regulations.
• Experience working with payroll service providers such as ADP, Ceridian, or Paylocity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance.
